Chinatown locals Dan and Sandy started Dreamers Coffee House with the vision to create an intentional space for the community, where you can see young professionals mingle with the aunties and uncles of Chinatown. 

Their menu includes Asian-flavored specialty drinks that are organic and ethically sourced. Customer favorites include the Honey and Oat Latte, Lavender Honey Matcha, and Hot Ginger Milk. We enjoyed the Lavender Honey Matcha! It’s infused with homemade lavender honey syrup, matcha, and a choice of alternative milk. The menu has fun seasonal drinks as well. Look out for fan-favorite The Coke N’ A Dream (Mexican Coca-Cola mixed with espresso), which has returned for the spring weather.

Aside from drinks, they have snacks and sandwiches sourced from local bakeries and businesses. It speaks to how serious they are about supporting the local community while making their space accessible for all. They even host pop-ups to highlight artists and creatives from the community and plan on adding Chinese translations to the menu to make their space more inclusive. 

The Dreamers team hopes to expand their food menu and seating area to soon provide a larger space for the community. They’re already on track by opening a second location inside Canal Street Market. So make sure to grab a drink from them while you shop from other vendors in the market!
