Koré Coffee

Strawberry Croffle & Tahini Latte

Koré Coffee is a family-run coffee shop specializing in flavorful lattes and croffles. NK Kim opened Kore on February 22, 2022, as he noticed that Chinatown lacked Korean culinary representation. The name "Kore" means whale in Korean and is inspired by the BTS song "Whalien 52."

Koré Coffee is truly a family affair. NK, a photographer, has some of his favorite photographs lining the white brick wall in the shop. He hopes to highlight local artists in the future by showcasing their work in his shop. Mrs. Kim, a composer and the coffee shop's barista, creates all the drinks' recipes. The house specialty is the Tahni latte, a velvety black sesame latte. Mr. Kim's cousin works bright and early in the bakery, making wonderful croffles. A croffle is a popular Korean snack that is a combination of croissant and waffle. The strawberry croffle has a flakey and buttery base, topped with mascarpone whipped cream and fresh strawberries. Other flavors include tiramisu, chocolate, tahini, matcha, and the savory cheese bacon croffle.

Koré Coffee is a new coffee shop bringing a vibrant take on coffee and specialty croffles. Be sure to visit Koré, get yourself a specialty latte, and try one of the amazing croffles!
