Tonii’s Fresh Rice Noodles

Tonii's Special Rice Noodle Roll (Marinated Pork, Chicken & Seasoned Dry Shrimp)

In October 2019, Elizabeth Yee (aka Liz) and her husband Brian opened Tonii's Fresh Rice Noodles. Liz grew up in her family's famous Kam Hing Coffee Shop as a child. When she had her own kids, she wanted them to have the same experience growing up and know that Chinatown will always be their home.

The restaurant is named after Liz's eldest daughter, Tonii. Liz opened the shop not only to satisfy her daughter's rice roll cravings but also to honor her brother's legacy. Liz's brother, Tony, was a chef and loved to cook. Unfortunately, he passed away in a fire with his girlfriend, Anna, in 2009. The two i's in her daughter's name represent the two human figures (Tony & Anna). Family is very important to Liz, and opening Tonii's was a way for her to connect the past with the future.

Tonii's is known for their Hong Kong-style comfort foods such as steamed rice rolls, spammiches (spam & egg sandwiches), and curry fish balls. Their fresh rice rolls are all made-to-order and come in 14 flavors. Our personal favorite is the Tonii's Special. Inside the delicate layers of steamed rice crepe are pork, chicken, dried shrimp, and pickled radishes. Make sure to douse them in your favorite sauces before you dig in!
