Catherine Wang
Growing up in the DC metro area, Catherine was surrounded by one of the largest Chinese-American communities on the East Coast. Finding, sharing, and supporting the incredible stories of local independent business owners, artists, and creatives have always been one of her favorite ways to engage with and connect to her community. That, combined with a love for discovering delicious Chinese food and desserts in NY, led her to become a tour guide in the city she now calls home - New York!

Charlotte Tsang
Hi everyone! My name is Charlotte. I moved to NYC last year after graduating from college in Virginia. When I'm not busy, I'm always planning my next solo adventure. In my most recent trip, I backpacked across the Middle East and Eastern Europe. I'm originally from Singapore, but I spent my summers with my grandparents in Chinatown. The lively community and good food have always made it feel safe and most like home. Hearing the stories my grandparents used to share on their immigrant experiences working in the garment factories made me passionate about amplifying immigrant voices. I'm so excited to share with you the rich history of Asian Americans and be a part of the MSG team!

Chloe Chan
Whether it was helping her parents shop for groceries on Mott Street or taking her dreaded piano lessons at Confucius Plaza, Chloe spent nearly every weekend of her childhood in Manhattan's Chinatown. This gave her insider knowledge of the best shops and hidden gems in the neighborhood. She became a tour guide to share her love of Chinatown with others!

Roger Lam
Roger lives in Manhattan with his partner, Jade, and a wok named Walter. His favorite Chinatown pastimes are staring at Chinese BBQ hanging on hooks and reading at Yu & Me Books. When he’s not leading food tours, he’s writing picture books featuring Asian American characters, telling stories at The Moth open mic nights, or running his Instagram food blog, @RogerLamChop.

Jenni Tai
Hello there! My name is Jenni and I'm thrilled to be joining Mott Street Girls as a food tour guide. Like most Asians, I LOVE food, I have a wide palette and will go out of my way to try something delicious. But I don’t just eat for enjoyment, it’s my favorite way to immerse in different cultures and histories. When I'm not exploring hidden gems locally or elsewhere, you can usually find me reading the labels of artwork at museums, scrolling through the home goods section of FB marketplace, or browsing grocery store aisles for a good deal. As a proud Taiwanese-American, I am truly honored to have the opportunity to share the richness of my heritage and culinary traditions as part of the MSG team.
